Head of Senusret III

The Head of Senusret III fascinated me because this portrait shows the true character of a leader during the middle kingdom. Earlier ruler figures such as Khafre seem to not have any hardship or concern in their expression. I think the rulers of today can empathize with Senusret, there are a lot of uncertainties facing the leaders of the free world. Maybe not the same stresses Senusret experienced during his time of rule but i can see the emotional strain in our leaders faces and expressions much like the strain in Senusret III's portrait.

Chapter 2 Daric

Daric was the first coin minted under Darius I of Persia. Not only did the Persians create a coin for economic value but they also used coins for propaganda. Daric symbolizes an emporer with war like qualities, it portrays power and bravery. Today presidential candidates may not use coins for propaganda but they still portray power and bravery with their propaganda tools. Below Daric is a picture of presidential candidate John McCain, it shows McCain as a young soldier ready to go to war. Today we still use power and bravery as a characteristic of leadership.

Chapter #1 The Lion Human

This figurine really caught my eye because it showed a change in complexity versus earlier figurine versions. Its new features symbolized something never seen in nature. This figurine is an example of how in this new day and age women are changing their view of what they want in life. The days of getting married young and staying home with the kids are long gone. Women are taking on more responsibilities, contributing financially and becoming more independent, as well as raising families. With these new responsibilities come more challenges of multi tasking every day life. The creative imagination that brought us the Lion-Man helps me think out of the box when it comes to women's roles in society.

I am a total adrenaline junkie, my life moves at such a fast pace. I never know what I am going to do next, but there is never a dull moment in my life. I also love top fuel its a NHRA event, I go to it every year.
The picture of the two boys below is one of my favorite pictures. The first time I looked at this picture I could not express all the emotions I felt. If you look at the two boys they are both smiling, but if you look into their eyes you can see happiness, sadness, and anger. This reflects my personality because I can relate to their emotions. I also can feel happiness and sadness at the same time.




Music is my drug of choice. It gives me energy. I can be having one of worst days and a song will come on that will inspire me to look past my problems. Music has helped me get through a lot of different times in my life both good and bad.The picture of the dice below reflect my personality in a few ways. I am a very superstitious person. I also look at things in life as a gamble. You never know what is going to happen next, you can't predict or control the future much like when you pick up the dice and roll.

Don't always judge a book by its cover. I'm a person that looks beyond the surface. We all have our stories, i'm not one to judge.
